Ah yes, I'm still nicely positioned on the fence about getting a 360...mainly because I'm very stingy. But why should I get one? Help convince me >_>. Right now I see Viva Pinata, Gears of War, Oblivion, and the upcoming Banjo-Kazooie game. But the damned console is very expensive. Is it worth it now? Thoughts people?

I think its definately worth it, but Ive been holding off and off because theyre are so dodgy. There is a constant stream of people getting the red ring of death. I hope when I do get one (Halo 3 time) that there has been enough revisions that they are finally reliable. That tactic worked well with my Xbox (its still my original and runs fine, has the first version of the good DVD drive).

Anyway, high on my list is BioShock, Halo 3 and Mass Effect. I think BioShock might appeal to you but perhaps not the others. Others I hope that might interest you: Ninja Gaiden, Spinter Cell Conviction (try reading a preview, sounds very original), and umm, Im not sure. Once you own the console you will find loads of gems trust me. With my Xbox I managed to locate heaps of fantastic games simply because I was looking.

I can't see why you would save up for that. I'm sure there will be plenty of generic shooters on other consoles...from what I've seen, Gears of War seems to be a far better reason to get a 360, insofar as the shooting genre goes.

Ghost Recon is and will forever be best on the Xbox. Unless you have played co-op online on the Xbox you havent experienced Ghost Recon. I dont think it is a selling point, but as for Xbox shooters you should NOT go past it.

There's some great games out on Xbox 360 like Gears, Viva Pinata, Ghost Recon, and some real bargains like Kameo.

If Halo 3, Mass Effect , BioShock, GTA IV, and Too Human don't get you excited for the 360 this year, then don't bother...

They really don't. Perhaps I should just wait for BK3.

Banjo Kazooie 3

Im not sure what games you are into WTD but BioShock... just need to mention it... again. You seen the 'hunting the big daddy' video? You should be interested in the game, like everyone else should be *glares at room*

Meh, I see that more as a "I might as well pick up considering I have a 360" kind of game, compared to a "and this game also really makes me want to get a 360". I would love to play Oblivion, Viva Pinata, Kameo, Gears of War and all...those I see as genuine reasons to get one. Plus it appears that the Wii will be doing **** all for us until the end of the year, if that. And there are always the old Xbox games to catch up with. Hm, maybe I'll look into it the next time a good deal comes around.

Im sure Spirit could try suggesting some more games. I know Crackdown is a very enjoyable game. Co-op sci-fi GTA.

I'm getting a 360 within the next couple of weeks (hopefully).  I saw the one in the Big W catalogue yesterday.  $588 bucks for a pro console and an extra controller sounds pretty good to me XD.  got about $470 so far (100 of that is a birthday prez from my mate).  Still waiting on my birthday money from my parents and when I get it, my mate's gonna give me whatever else i need, then i just pay him back over time.
